As part of Black History Month we invited parents to share the rich and diverse places their families come from. Mason’s dad joined us and gave a wonderful presentation all about Zimbabwe.
On 22 November we visited the Birmingham Thinktank to explore a variety of science topics. We also took part in an exciting ‘Under Your Skin’ workshop where we learned all about the amazing systems inside the human body.
We explored the concept of democracy and how it first originated in Ancient Greece. Using the same methods the Greeks used, we held our own votes on a range of topics, including the best ice cream flavour and whether dogs or cats are superior!
In DT we designed and made our own pop-up books using a variety of mechanisms.
In Science we used eggs to explore how different substances can affect tooth enamel over time. Our advice… brush your teeth!
